Vegans and vegetarians need an alternate source of Glucosamine, and this is it. I am not sure how it compares to fish or bovine based Glucosamine, but an alternative of this type is a joy and relief for the vegans/vegetarians.

I'm allergic to shellfish and crustaceans so cannot take the more widely-available glucosamine, which is made from the shells of these creatures. I was happy to find this source, and my knees are happy about it too!

I liked the soup very much, however, one annoying fact is that the bottom of the paper container leaks when cooking in the microwave. Had this happen to me twice so from now on I just empty the contents in my own microwavable bowl. Works better.

Dr. McDougall's soups are perfect for the vegan on-the-go! Like the cup of soup everyone else eats, but better for you. Just take my advice and buy 2 packs on auto-ship every month.

This is great convenience food. We're a mixed family (vegan and non-vegans can peacefully coexist!), but we both like this soup. It's quick, easy, and much better for you than other brands of instant noodle soups. Perfect for when I wake up late and am looking for something to throw in my bag for lunch. Quality doesn't come cheap. But buying from Amazon makes it cheaper.

I am so pleased with this product that I just ordered 3 more cases of it. Love the fact that the ingredient list is short and simple and that the sodium is low. I feel no guilt after eating this soup at all. I think that adding slightly less water than is recommended makes for a tastier soup and I give it a minute more sitting time than is suggested as well. I like to bulk it up by sauteing some onions, carrots and celery while the soup is steeping and then mix it all together. Super (souper) yum.

I first stumbled upon this mix a good ten years ago when I was a more strict vegetarian. I have since become a little more lenient in my diet but this is an old favorite. I do the beginning as suggested, boil 2.5c water and then add the chili mix (1 box) but from there, I do my own thing. They suggest using 1 can of diced tomatoes and 1 can of beans but I find that I get a much more mellow but still hearty, flavorful chili and it either feeds several more or leaves a good bit leftover by adding the following: 1 can of Great Northern beans, 1 can of black beans, 1 can of diced tomatoes, and a bit of powdered garlic (I picked the different beans for flavor/color/texture variation and the garlic is based on your personal tastes). If it's too thick for you, add up to 1 can of stewed tomatoes so that it thins it without diluting the flavor.

This is a great vegetarian chili. It tastes homemade like the kind you grew up eating that your mother made. I highly recommend this for vegans and vegetarians. Being a Texas girl growing up on Mexican food I add chopped jalepenos to mine.

This is the best vegetarian chili I have tried. The box says to add 1 can of tomatoes and 1 can of bean. I like alot of tomaotoes in my chili so I always add 2 cans of fire roasted tomatoes. Black beans are awesome in this but you can use any kind you like. I like to spice mine up a bit with cayenne pepper too. My boyfriend who is a meat and potatoe guy loves it, and usually he will never eat my vegetarian food.
